Well I just put in my order earlier this week with Thurston Bros. for an Aero premium 30s half-belt, hopefully for November custom production schedule.
You guys are a bunch of enablers. :D
Save up a few more bucks and buy a used jacket. Would you rather spend $375 on a jacket that lasts a few years, tops, or pony up $500-600 for a used one that lasts more than one lifetime? The $375 purchase is a false economy.
Here's some photos of Russet, though probably not helpful as these look pretty much like the ones on LW www. I agree that the other post captures it well.
Nice jacket, fits you great. You've just inspired me to craft a similar video of my LW Test 1930s jacket in 4oz Russet. Quality and lighting are poor but you get the idea.
I got it maybe 5 or 6 weeks ago. I've put a couple hours a day in wearing it and it's breaking in nicely.
Yours fits...
I read the backstory here too. That said, you can't get LW stuff any where else.
I have a Raider and I love it but acquired it second hand. I thought it was a size too small so I figured I'd get one a size up. I was a bit apprehensive but called up LW and placed an order. I had no surprises...
Real nice! That elk looks amazing. I hope you get many decades of enjoyment out of it. Thanks for sharing.
I'm wearing my goatskin LW Raider jacket this week (quasi warm weather for February) so I am on the same terms regarding LW quality and workmanship - it's continually astounding.
