Thanks for this. I’m V shaped so maybe it wouldn’t work for me but man, this is a good looking classic jacket on Stock Man.
TB have a premier in badalassi right now that is damn tempting.
I’m confused. I really like the look of a HWM, see a fit pic like yours which is spot on and confirms my impression of this model being damn near a perfect jacket but then I read it’s a blocky cut. If it’s blocky why does it look so damn good in an example like Stock Man’s?
You have these images at your fingertips for all occasions?!?!?
Too bad you couldn't score this leather for the Oxford, but it will be really good in black too. There is a helluva good looking Schott in a similar style too, in black HH. 689H. Just came across it, and it is very nice...
To be honest, if we had this convo 2-3 months ago, I might have but after a year the jacket suddenly loosened up and became really comfortable.
It’s weird how it just happened. And not gradually, just poof. Now it’s the perfect fit. It took a year however.
But I hear you, I’ve got the Sheene fit...
My two pairs of Bravestar in 21.5oz. The first are 4 or 5 years old, a few soaks. The second are 4 months and just had their first soak.
I’ve 7 pairs of Bravestar and don’t have any incentive to look anywhere else. Great value for raw denim.
The heavyweights are my fav. I also have their double...
Intrusion is shorter! ha ha
Geologists Carpenter and Russell studied Devils Tower in the late 19th century and came to the conclusion that it was formed by an igneous intrusion.[18] Modern geologists agree that it was formed by the intrusion of igneous material, but not on exactly how that...
When I bought my Oxford from Thurston I was torn between it and the model F. I almost bought both. This was only a year ago so not sure the difference in hide but the model F I tried on had a very thick, medium brown, heavyweight cowhide. I really like those double chest pockets positioned a bit...
Thanks for this. I found it, listed as sold out, but says "incoming 2-4 weeks from date of order" whatever that means.
The 618H is pretty cool too. Great value these Schott's!
That pic was taken in '15 when my riding buddy and I rode down to the Dakotas. This is my second RG, they both followed a Fat Boy. The FB was like riding a Flintstones bike comparatively. To each their own but I am surprised people choose Street Glides and the other full dressers over the RG. It...
Well, it is a motorcycle jacket picture! My Harley FXRG jacket with me and my road glide. Devil’s Tower Wy. It’s a great riding jacket, but not fashion wear.
Ha ha I laughed at that.
Another similar jacket that I almost chose instead of the Oxford was the Model F. Thurston still show it on their website. I really liked the chest pockets placed a little lower but I understand that’s not to everyone’s taste.
It fits the same as the Oxford and comes in...
Thurston have a 38 HWM with 42 measurements right now on their in stock page in Natural CXL.
I was tempted on that myself but decided on a Sheene instead.
They also have a 44 Seven also in Natural CXL and the dimensions look spot on. just a suggestion.
More $$’s than the Oxford though.
If only...
I didn't try on a 44, Carrie didn't have one in that size but I am pretty sure I could have sized up to 44, especially if I planned on layering, which I do. For sure I'd need the 44 if I had the liner.
I used to be 210-215 but lost a bunch due to life stuff.
Here are some grain pics of the Whidbey leather. If you go to Thurston’s website she still has the jacket posted ....type in Oxford 42 and it will come up.
