Guess it's a combination of things.
Different beret batches ,dye colour may vary. Photo , exposure, lighting and so on.
Here is a photo taken a few meters away from the last one, beret looks much darker.

Like to share a story with today's choice of beret. It was my intention to wear it in an official photo ID however that was not permissible. :confused:
Preferred beret at work is the super Lujo. Great weather protection and tough as nails.
If it had an Australian safety standard tag I would wear it as a safety helmet. :D
Philipe, the Laulhere heritage is a less dense lighter weight beret. I own three, green, blue and brown.
Prefer wearing them in our spring/autumn.
No Horse, as for the odour it will dissipate over time. Shaping, I just wear them, they shape themselves.
Pushing 60 losing my hair so grew a beard to compensate. :D I will never be a hipster but in my opinion berets and beards (also mustaches) just compliment each other.
