The flat head shinki wear and care

What you would do with quality leather shoes. If you get it wet (like: real wet), dry without using external heat (I.e. radiator etc.). If you feel it gets dry, use a light conditioner/care. Don’t overdo it. Unless you get it soaking wet/dry/soaking wet on a regular basis, once every few years...

    Eastman Roughwear fit

Nothing wrong with the fit. In fact, rather perfect.

Looking at this again, you nailed everything about it! Can we see some updates? ”A brand new vintage jacket with an upgrade and custom fit.“ Now that is something that appeals to me!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I stopped reading at „Turquoise Lightning“… No I didn’t. But if money and storage space were no restriction, I’d get a Turquoise Lightning in a heartbeat (I seem to remember, Slash got one too.).

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

This has aged to perfection. I remember when you got it new many moons ago. I thought, why get this iconic piece in this colour. I thought it just HAD to be black. Now I rather think, why I didn´t get it in this colour too...yet.

I ordered a tailored Aeroleather, and I am not happy with the fitting.

This was my PHWM straight out of the box. I never took an issue, and it settled rather quickly. This is a thick CXL hide, so almost totally unyielding before break-in.

Yes, length plus taper may well be the answer.

I ordered a tailored Aeroleather, and I am not happy with the fitting.

Adding a bit of perspective here: I am 6‘ (183cm), and I would say, I don’t have an overlong torso. This is my Premier HWM with a back length of 26,75“ (!!). Had I specced it myself, I would have gone to ca. 26-26,5“ but certainly not shorter. I never wear high-rise pants. I always felt, the...

FS: Simmons Bilt Modified Tailgunner Black (Size 42)

You´re right, the jacket is more or less a mash-up of the Tailgunner and the Maverick. Can´t really remember what the ultimate base pattern is, but all mods are purely aestetical (regular measurements of a stock size 42, so no alterations to hem etc.). I am 6´ (1,83m), with a 42,5" chest and a...

Fit Check: Vanson Stadium and Aero Cafe Racer

I like the CR a lot. Great color, and the fit looks ok from here. If you can live with how it feels, it should be a keeper. I don't think the Stadium is unwearable, but ideally you should size up one. It’s a blousy, roomy style, and getting around the natural bulk by sizing down renders it too...

Merry Christmas to you too. Massive tree there. May I ask if it’s natural or artificial? Just curious as I wouldn’t have put a conifer in your neck of the world.

    Schott 689HH Fit Check.

If it feels ok, keep it. I am sure +1 would look good too, but you already said it felt too big, and there’s no arguing personal preferences. Great jacket, btw.!

    Field Leathers

Absolutely agreed! I found the name to be a nice twist too and a humble nod towards the co-creator.
