I wouldn’t wear the JC boots, but I think they‘re kind off cool. Just not my style.
As to branding. I don’t wear much branded clothing.other than the odd Lacoste Polo.
However, I don’t think it’s necessarily less pretentious to buy expensive names without bold branding. In a way such “hidden”...
Agreed, Sheene looks good.
If you would ask me to nit-pick, I´d like to see 1" more in the body, but that´s totally personal. Sleeves are well inside my tolerance, but a hair longer (certainly not a whole inch) would be preferable. Again, that is nit-picking.
Jacket will only look better with...
First of all: good to see you back in the game! You were the one who sold me on Lewis Leathers, and I sure never regretted it!
Anectotal evidence only as well but in the EU, refund is possible, but if you paid duties via a courier (as opposed to directly with the customs office), it’s a long...
Not an issue, IMO. Yes, they do get wet (can’t help that if it rains), but I don’t find it particularly noteworthy. Tend to dry up reasonably quick as well.
I do have three jackets with fur collar (two of them non removable), and the ups in terms of coziness way outweight any potential downside.
It looks great!
I love mine. I enjoy wearing my Iron Heart “Pale Rider”, but the Y2 plays in a different league when it comes to feel, smell, finishing. Pure luxury!
I believe it´s the same pattern (all measurements are the same, so efficiency would dictate working from the same pattern...). The shirt comes in 4 or 5 different hides/thicknesses/tannings, so look and feel may very well differ.
@Whitters: How long have you been having this? Sizing as in: one...
Well, I’ve been tempted, but I decided against it.
Too hefty a pricetag for too big a chance that dimensions won’t work for me.
Plus, with the supernice hide of the 613SH, Horween CXL doesn’t have that much of an appeal for me after all.
Maybe a hair.
Just looked at some movie photos. Biggest difference is that the man himself wears the jackets three sizes too large with shoulders drooping halfway to the elbow. Pockets start consequentially well below the waistline. Nightmare of a fit!
@Canuck Panda : well done! The first Indy...
Agreed. He and his family have been travelling (I understand they are currently in the US) to visit several trade shows.
This aside, it´s always irritating when small business owners go radio-silent over a certain period of time. It seems like such a small customer service feature to be...
It does look great!
Price is quite something, though.
I spoke with Jerri about sizing, and this one too seems to be a nod towards popular trends. The size "XL", for which I should be looking comes at 27,25" back lenght. Not sure I can pull that off...
Totally agree!
I have read with great interest, so far.
Finally, FCL is getting some credit for doing a faithful repro. it always struck me as odd that they have always been accused of copy-catting, while others have taken full scorn if their copies (err - repros) were not faithful enough.
I...
Autumn is here.
20 degrees and sunny yesterday, 3 degrees, windy and cloudy today. Don’t be fooled by the fair atmosphere in the photo. An hour later I was caught in the grandmother of all downpours.
Thanks, Marc! It’s better than I wished it would be. The Shop has it in a bottle-green version as well that just looks the bees knees as well.
Cowboy boots last weekend. Today actually a pair of Chelsea Boots from your neighbours of Butts&Shoulders…
