Which one of these jacket twins is a keeper?

Expect for the part where the waist is too tight while zipped up. Can’t you see the bulging pockets?

Got this beauty in Dark Maple Bainbridge just in time for Thanksgiving, but of course it’s in the mid 60’s today in PA. Thanks for the jacket Carrie.

Hercules Sport Jacket in russet steer hide - a review

I ordered one of their jackets but returned it bc of some qc issues. The leather and price was pretty nice, but my jacket had some serious issues that I couldn’t overlook. It had a very thin cotton/poly lining that was drooping a good couple of inches below the hem, the back top panel of the...

The Flat Head Black Engineer Boots, 9.5

I made 8oz leather insoles and they fit me a lot better with them in, but my 9.5e Wesco 7500 still fit a lot better. It seams like the flat head boots have a wider/more sculpted heel with a higher instep. They will probably fit a 10.5d, 10.5ee, and 11d on a Brannock. Maybe an 11e if you have a...

The Flat Head Black Engineer Boots, 9.5

Purchased these black chromexcel boots from self edge and wore them no more than 3 hours total. I believe these are made by John Lofgren for The Flat Head. Really nice boots but just too big for me. They run 1 size larger than Brannock size and 1/2 bigger than Wesco, Whites, and Chippewa...

How much shrinkage should you expect in the body and sleeves after wash/dry? I wonder if the added length in those 2 areas are to compensate for that?

    Thoughts about fit?

If you’re going to untuck, I would wear brands that are shorter and meant to be worn untucked. I won’t buy a shirt that is longer than 29in.

Leather jacket suggestions for those that don't ride

I would probably start a little more conservative for your first jacket. You want to feel comfortable wearing it out and not self conscious. For me personally, I would wear a cafe racer collared jacket with regular non zippered sleeves, or if it had a regular collar, I wouldn’t mind the...

Seam down the middle in the back - poll!

I feel that the Highwayman has the most visually appealing back layout, but after wearing many jackets over the years, I value function over style when it comes to the back construction. That’s why I prefer action backs, gussets, and vertical seams if it aids in the fit and ease of mobility.

Seam down the middle in the back - poll!

On the Aero’s board racer page, they mention that the center back seam was to achieve a closer torso fit. Maybe Carrie will know how the achieve this? I can tell you that my Vanson Oxford is the most “tailored” jacket I own. Can’t imagine someone wearing it is a large belly.

Ready to order Aero Highwayman looking for some input before doing so.

Definitely get sateen for the sleeves. I would probably get cotton drill for the body but either fabric is fine.

    Ship John

I just placed an order for a wills jacket. Hope I don’t have to wait 7 months for mine. I do like most of his IG content, but the owner does get fired up pretty easily from some of the posts. Also, I guess iron & resin knocked off his jacket but agreed to stop selling it after the owner was...

Blowdryer + conditioner on Lost Worlds leather (before, during, after)

Seems like the topcoat is great for water & abrasion resistance, but is not conducive to treatments. Regardless, I would never go 20 years before treating my jacket. Why gamble on it drying out. Even if you don’t wear it, the humidity level in your house can cause the leather to dry. Might...
