Gentlemen, I have been away from the Lounge so my apologies for not seeing these posts about the hat bodies. Virtually all of my bodies were yellow string, meaning 7 3/8 average and workable up to size 8. These are all raw bodies Sir, they are to be made to the dimensions you need. The Winchester are mostly yellow string, making bodies between 7 1/8 to 7 3/4. The Tonak are non sized, just raw- Art Fawcett

I feel your pain Sir, arthritic thumbs are no fun. The reason most likely that you had more trouble with the beaver was simply density. Beaver felts are much more dense the rabbit, thus making rabbit easier to pull onto the block. Beaver requires much more steam so I suspect you didn't have...- Art Fawcett
