1) The adventurer hat come in open crown as std. You have to bash it yourself or request hatter to do it for you.
This is similar to the Chrstys Homburg. Which also comes in open crown.

It depends on the material - Is it felt or silk plush ? I flet then it can be stretched ( in limitation) if silk plush and a calaco shell underneath then no it can only be reconformed.

Back Tie Event ( Semi Formal) : Homburg or Trilbowler if wearing dinner jacket outside. OR Top Hat as well as Homburg and Trilbowler if wearing a long overcoat/cape.
