I have inherited an old top hat, and it is a bit too small. Is there any way you can stretch or widen a top hat? Probably there is not, but i had to ask![huh]
I'm afraid not. Hard shell hats have no give; you can only re-conform it to a shape. If you had one a size larger then you could re-conform it so it just about fits but you can't stretch a smaller size to a bigger one.

It depends on the material - Is it felt or silk plush ? I flet then it can be stretched ( in limitation) if silk plush and a calaco shell underneath then no it can only be reconformed.
I would first ask you to confirm if it is actually too small or merely does not fit. People sometimes say a topper is too small, but in fact it is right size , but merely the wrong shape.
