There's also the fact that the label adds a bit of gold to the jacket which would not otherwise be there. LL don't do brass hardware, and sometimes the gold is a nice complement, for example to a beige zipper, or on coloured hide...
@konadog you and your jacket look damn good! Are you happy...
The inside collar stain is one reason I am considering going for a two-tone jacket with darker collar to contrast whenever I buy a lighter colour leather jacket.
I asked my mother if she has any objections to the patch on her new jacket, she said no... she would be kind and give them a bit of advertising. They are a small business. As has been said above, the oval patch isn't something introduced in recent years to market the brand but something that has...
I maintain that I think the patch could potentially be a status symbol and conversation starter. It also serves to distinguish plain black leather jackets which to the untrained eye could look generic. Even if someone thinks it's weird or calls it out, as soon as they google it they know it's...
If you don't know then you probably wouldn't, right? For me *the most important thing* is the fit of a jacket and I like being sized up accurately for these things. There's no way I would spend a ton of money on a jacket and not have it made to measure. The Addict leather is nothing to write...
Fantastic time at the Aero Pop Up talking to Denny about the range and getting sized up for some kind of two-tone hooch hauler with J106 features... Denny is a solid guy and excellent communicator. I was surprised to find that I am a 38 in a standard J106 and a 40 in a Hooch hauler. I am used to...
I have given you my thread and you can read it. I'm not tailoring my responses just for you.
Also your request is absurd, it would require me to purchase both jackets. I ain't sending my hard earned ££ anywhere near Addict. How about you blow your money on one and then I'll post my Cyclone :)...
Sure. I could spend £1340 (more if in the USA) on a poor facsimile of a jacket in standard sizes or I could go to the actual manufacturer, get sized up and choose all kinds of varieties of leathers, hides and colours, made to measure, for around £850.
Overpriced plagiaristic crap, zero value for money, this was my thread:

Popped into LL today and spoke to the manager (not Derek) who said that now they are allowing custom orders to omit the oval logo patch on the front. Thought I'd share that because I know it has been a bone of contention for some of you since they mandated the patch in recent years. I never...
Addict are Bartender Edit: language, please. he real deal - Lewis Leathers. Aside from anything else you can get LL made to measure and it costs like 1/2 the price.
If you could design the ultimate aviator style jacket, taking the best of everything, what features would it have?
Historical accuracy NOT a consideration.
I like the look of a two-tone B3. It looks more interesting than a B6 or D1 or an RAF jacket.
However, I hate the sheer bulkiness...
