If I'm at home, I'm wearing pajamas or whatever warmer weather equivalent. So no, I don't. That said, I get to wear my leather jackets to work for the majority of the year so they don't need to be broken in at home.
I still am in a way. For modern jackets, I still mark them at the top along with a couple others. They still tend to look great on a lot of people. My body is just a bit too weird for them and vintage jackets suit me better.
Additionally, I still have trousers, shirts, and my winter jacket...
Yeah its a pain. I have a 42" chest and I'm 5'7" so I feel your pain. I ended up going vintage, but custom would work just as well and be easier overall.
@blobsterroll it's not a terrible fit, but I do think you need more of a drop, especially in this style of jacket. I would return it and possibly go custom or something vintage.
Yup definitely. Freewheelers makes great patterns, but they didn't suit me. These vintage jackets fit me far better.
Thanks! That's the general direction my style is heading toward. I'm not that level of photoshop editor though.
@Whitters beautiful jacket. Fits you perfectly and the whole outfit is awesome. I wouldn't think to wear a grizzly with chucks, but man does it work.
A couple of photos of 2 of my '40s Sportclad jackets

Yeah it's an annoying and inaccurate term as is 'single rider' . I can already see...
@Jasonissm that jacket looks incredible on you!
finally got photos of my 40s California Sportswear horsehide cross zip.
If you call it a double rider, I'll block you;)
Not to be that guy, but I do know someone who works construction in his $300 plus dollar raw denim. All year long. He's actually gotten stick from some denim nerds for wearing rare and expensive jeans from Roy Slaper for work.
But yes, overall I totally agree with you. This stuff is all vintage...
Agreed. That's why I refuse to even use the term "work boots."
In my mind, if they aren't made for current work specific purposes, they aren't work boots.
Yes, some of them used to be made for "work," but certainly are not up to the standard of serious work boots today.

My favorite look is the Japanese style of wearing the boots and letting the leather age and tea core pop through and then polishing over that. Makes me think of certain high end dress shoes.
It's a weird blend of casual and dressy that I like. After all, I wear engineers which haven't been work...
