Mine is in a size 42 and is their test jacket but here are the measurements provided by Greg.
Pit 22.5
Abdomen 20.5
Hem 20
Sleeve 25.25
Back 24.25
Shoulder 18.75
They told me the same too and I'm waiting to hear back on the stock measurements to see if I'd need modifications to the lengths or not.
Do you know what the stock lining material is?
No disrespect to Toni of course. I have an Aero jacket made by her from the early 2010s which is very well made so she clearly has the skill and experience.
I just checked my other Field Leathers jacket which is the Chicago test jacket and even that has some of the features @Marc mndt pointed...
My understanding is that Toni was formerly with Aero Leathers and has a lot of experience. But yes, I guess you could consider these as apprentice-made jackets under the Field Leathers brand. Hence the discounted price.
Thought I'd help him promote it in this thread. Greg is currently taking orders for Toni who just joined the Field Leathers team.
Good chance to grab a jacket in their new brown cowhide at a bargain. Check out his IG stories more info!
+1 to that. It depends how long your torso is. I'm 180cm and also prefer a 24 inch back because I have long legs. Makes it harder to buy off-the-rack jackets because I need a longer sleeve length compared to back length.
I'm amazed this hasn't been snatched up. It's bewildering how many great deals and jackets there are in sizes 38-40 on the classifieds now. Hope you find this awesome piece a new owner soon!
Great jacket! If I'm not mistaken this is the navy CXL. I was eyeing this as well when it was last posted but the length didn't work for me.
Might help others to know that it's not black CXL. GLWS
Thanks for such a well-written, elaborate response to my question. I guess if the zip is wavy, the tumbling is done post-completion of the jacket as opposed to Aero's offering of tumbled CXL where the leather is tumbled before the jacket is put together? (This is purely speculation on my part)...
