If you want to see Japanese brands, Mushmans is good a bit far about 1.5 hrs by public transport, also Barnstormer Gotemba also about 2 hrs
In to the metro area of Tokyo you have The Flat Head, The Real McCoys, Americaya General Garden Ueno (Buzz Rickson and Rainbow Country), Attractions...
I found most of the jackets that I really wanted in Tokyo, were gonna be priced accordingly, Buco, Trojan, etc. and with a lot of the general thrift stores, older jackets are rare to find but maybe priced better, stores that specialise in vintage leather jackets would be more expensive because...
Woah, that's right down from where I am, interesting! Would love to find some older 50's jackets made in Australia, I forgot about an auction for a 50s Australian jacket (with a Lightning zip) and I still regret it!
WOAH! That Trojan is nice, grail right there, the quilted liner is sweet!
Also that Californian is the best I've seen, lovely collar shape! To me, these type of collars look nicer in a medium weight leather since the thickness detracts from the overall shape and how it drapes.
Not sure if it's a fantasy jacket, that's what I thought at first, looks like a CHP mimicking a Trojan, but I think it was @jeo who said they saw a photo of the original Trojan jacket and was looking to see if he could resurface that image. I'd be really keen to see it as I've never been able to...
If you do just want the style, the original of the Mobster is a Californian Sportswear CHP jacket and there are a bunch of brands that do very similar thing as well, not too hard to find. If you want the vintage of the Mulholland, tough luck, Trojans are gonna be way more expensive and...
Leather is quite good, stiff (previous owner didn't wear it much,, neither did I, so not broken in at all), good colour, very beautiful sheen, and has the typical teacore that chips away, personally I prefer either non-teacore or one that wears away more slowly. Smelled pretty nice too.
Also...
I had a Mobster but I had to sell it off because the cut didn't work for me, it fits larger than tag size and although it was a really well built and beautiful jacket, it was a little long for my taste and also not slim enough.
Listing title says:

So it's a repro, hardly any pics though, but maybe it's a Toyo repro?
Hi mate, it is 24", but don't let that deter you, I have a Vanson with 25.5" sleeve and this basically fits the same. Aloysius is correct, there is some trickery with the shoulder which is elongated and the arm hole is slightly lower so using @Canuck Panda patented dress shirt measuring...
Keep, if you wear it with high rise pants and shirt tucked, the length would be ideal. Only if that fits your style though, if you don't like that style of pant don't go around buying pants just to match the jacket and move it on
Smaller size 40s Hercules about $300, nice! A little crusty, some seams need to be restitched and missing a half belt.

Depends on the item, my Jack White/White Kloud boots are a grail for me, so I was excited the whole way through. Other things, like my Onderhouds, they arrived in about 4 months and I just thought neat, tried them on and stowed them back in the box. Depends how much I personally like the item...
Fantastic write up, thanks for a lot of those details and explaining the difference. The leather on that back panel is incredible, lot of depth, grain and nice sheen to the leather. I have PMed you to ask a bit more, cheers!
