    Interesting, looks very grainy, I've seen many jackets with this type of steerhide out of Japan, I wonder which tannery made it. Most listings don't really have information about tannery in the listing since they're old jackets maybe 3rd or 4th hand lol

    Thank you for the advice, I will take some time to go to Mushmans, they carry many things that I like and maybe I can squeeze into a 42, I doubt it though. Or maybe if Barnstormer falls through I can do a special order with Mushmans or put a preorder when they take them next.

    You should zip the jacket up when taking the pit to pit measurement or it can be a bit inaccurate.

    Probably Barnstormer, not sure if anywhere else has any size 44s from my search. Barnstormer will have one soon, I hope it's still there by the time I go lol I was considering going to Mushmans but there is not much in my size from their online store.

    Problem is the Highwayman is exclusive custom model for just Americaya in Ueno I believe? And they only make up to size 42, so I probably won't be able to fit into it unfortunately. I'd be interested in trying it but not in stock I believe, there's parts I prefer the Hercules like the back...

    I think the back is what stands out it kind of balloons out in the center rather than tapering inward where the half belt is. You can see it mostly in the side photo. While the arms look very slim in comparison as well. I like the construction but the patterns have put me off.

    If you're suspicious you can check on the bid history and see if it was the same person bidding it up and see their feedback score as well. Typically most sellers with good feedback will not engage in this sort of thing, but I have seen some shady stuff with new sellers.
