Oh I think they very much care. Pretty much every for-profit company in the world does very much care about cutting costs. They have an incentive to use the last bit of hide, and that’s a problem. Just because they tell you a (compelling?) story about how back in the day there were (horse)...
I didn’t want to agree with OP but I kind of do…
I’ve been saying the same about “artisanal brands”: Guidi, a1923, CCP, MA+, etc. probably only Monitor will recognise those over here lol.
But yeah they sell stuff at a *very high* price and often with very questionable finishing, but because...
Yeah like 80% of fits here are basically that combo.
My guess is that one of the things guys over here like about leather jackets is that they’re hard wearing. So since learher trousers are too much for most, denim is the closest.
IMO:
Fit looks good. I like shorter jackets and wouldn’t mess with that.
I personally wouldn’t get a tougher/thicker leather unless you’re Indiana Jones or James Bond.
I like “antique” zippers with brown but Aero AFAIK only offers them in Talon and those are reaaaally bad.
A lot of people basically settle with a style and keep wearing it for the rest of their lives (that’s why you see hoodies under a leather jacket around here lol). It’s the young people that pick up new trends, and I don’t know where young people in the US go and buy clothes these days but it’s...
Way too long IMO, although I like shorter jackets. If you shorten the sleeves to where they should be, they’d end up roughly at the same length as the hem. That’s just too long. I think that jacket would look too long even on someone who didn’t need to shorten the sleeves.
Hey!
Yup that’s my jacket, I’m pretty sure. It was also featured in his las Insta post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DAIHamyTcty/?igsh=MWcxdHNlYXI4YnN0eA==
I didn’t ask for details about the leather, I only know it’s calfskin although I know he’s used similarly coloured horse in the past but...
I’m in the minority here but I like fashion. There’s a lot of different styles out there and while a lot of them don’t appeal to me, I can still appreciate them as I like to think I’m open minded. That is why I don’t mind paying $$$ for a designer piece if I feel it’s unique and I like it a lot...
While I agree there’s a difference in photos vs in person, those Brad Pitt pics above were taken in Wimbledon tennis tournament. These people are likely to wear make up for such an event, but they’re basically papparazzi pics.
If anyone is interested in this Crush on Retro (label says something like Jai Leathers) in size L hit me up and I’ll sell it for cheap. It’s based on the RRL Alston, the sleeves are too short on me.
But I find it odd that you chose Clooney as a counterargumentwhen he’s got a better hairline now in his sixties than when he was in E.R 30 years ago.
What makes you think that that’s the only thing he’s got done? He still looks better and younger than most guys in their sixties. Brad doesn’t...
