That's BS.
They could have locked the forum and left it readonly. They could have a competent admin implement anti spam measures.
They just didn't want to.
In "vintage, nearly new" condition I could see it being worth $400-450. I didn't catch that detail when read originally. That old style comp weight leather isn't being made anymore.
In good condition, $250-300. It was probably $450-500 when new, and to have them make one now $769, maybe more if custom sizing is needed.
If it's thrashed to hell, lower, unless you really love the exact way it's been beat up.
Ton, I think I bought your LW Ryder, didn't I. If not I have the same jacket. It is a really nice example, I like mine a lot.
Stuart's personality or his character doesn't bother me. If it's kayfabe or really him, doesn't matter. When he gets it right, his jackets are something else. I can...
In the example you provided, in both cultures, the motivation behind the actions taken, whether to wait patiently or to squeeze in politely, is to be kind.
The rationale of how kindness is manifested is different.
Thus your example is not a point in favor of unkindness.
It's pretty far off topic to be discussing these points.
The way things were, and the way we got where we are, are not something we can control; they're in the past, and they're gone. They cannot be undone. We can remember them and learn from them, if anything.
The way forward, however, is...
Nah, I don't buy that. It's always been a prudent thing to watch what you say, and how you say it.

shoulder is 18.5
and waist is 19”
pit to pit 24.5“
body length 24.5"
and arm is...
Well if I hadn't just started an order for pretty much this exact configuration...
Mine will have an inside pocket.
Curious, why did you fold back and sew the belt? I thought the KOTR belt was detachable, doesn't it slide through the kidney panel?
Here's another update...
I learned about the Weatherwool company through The Iron Snail's youtube channel.
When I checked out their website, they had none in stock, and the way they are set up, you can place an order for $0 to be notified when they are available again for purchase.
Initially...
My order, sale price: 788.75 today: 1,087.50. (+100 for the KOTR customization, which I can't specify in their order form, 20 888.75 vs 1187.50). Difference: 298.75 (33.6%). I guess I got a good deal, then! Almost $400 USD off.
