Looks like you went with the same model that I had:

Man, this guy is just relentless with the incredible jackets, perfect fits and stunning photos. So few posts and so many gems already. Keep going, can't wait to see more of you!
Big no no for me, although a denim jacket seems fine with shorts for some reason. Obviously more suitable for warm weather in terms of warmth, but also fits much better in terms of looks as well.
This thread got me desperately looking around for pictures of shorts that look less "not cool" and...
I absolutely love the lacing on my Model E. I'm a total convert after experiencing the adjustability it provides. Solves the issue of my body being a 36 top and a 34 bottom. Most 36 are too roomy in the bottom for me and most 34 jackets are too tight in the top for me. Boom, 36 Model E with...
Shots fired haha.
Love the fit of mine:

Yeah the half belt of the Ryder gives more formal vibes. I have one as well, but haven't worn it much as it's more roomy and I'll be using it for layering.
But for more office / formal look I'd likely go with the Downtown Car Coat from LW.
Car coats, whether short or long always look like the...
Schott is completely fine (the US stuff). LW is top league, but comes with various caveats. Vintage / older Belstaff stuff is pretty good as well as far as I understand.
Can't go wrong with lost worlds as far as I'm concerned, but maybe not the best choice for "formal" or "office wear". Maybe consider Johnson Leathers if you're in the US or Thedi (as mentioned above) if you're in EU. Aero or SB if youre in the UK. One of the most "formal" jackets I can think of...
I'd say I'm a 36 upper body and 34 lower body. I have a 36 hooch hauler. It's a very slim pattern, rather restrictive in mobility as well, especially in cxl. I think that sizing up to 40 like you were recommended sounds like a pretty good idea. Like mentioned in the hooch hauler thread - be...
Not today but my heavily modified Vanson B from JP saw some stage time not so long ago!
One of the songs we did was "Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild" which has associations with Vanson for me as the music video features scenes from the movie "Easy Rider" and Vanson does a version of that jacket...
Wanted to go for a Vincent with the J-106 configuration but that was too pricy with all the "extras" like shoulder gussets, belt and epaulets. And a J-106 itself in 36 would have been too roomy. Aero has not done a 34 J-106 in 10 years and couldn't give me the numbers. Ended up not ordering...
Apart from the sleeve length (which seems tolerable, not awful by any means, especially considering the are zipped cuffs) the fit looks perfect to me. The upper sleeves might feel roomy, but it doesn't show visually if you ask me.
Give some layering a go, see how it feels. My new LW with roomy...
How's the kotr back for upper back mobility? Seems like a downgrade from the j-106 back as you loose on the "arms down and forward to tie you boots" direction? It does look gorgeous and I'm also seriously considering it. I'd go for black CXLSH this time to compare with my FQHH hooch hauler.
