I can see where those wool pants would pick up burrs. Not the Filson olied tin cloth pants though, I'm guessing you are referring to?
Are those wool Woolrich pants lined with cotton? Otherwise, unless you are wearing long johns underneath, it has to be pretty itchy?
Another picture - for anyone interested. Will keep it on for a short while longer and see if it sells. It really is a nice Western hat for those interested in that.
My dad had the pants too, just don't know what the heck happened to them. But if they were her, not something I think I would wear walking around NYC or Montclair NJ in, but would be about the best ting to wear while walking in the woods, come wintertime.
Thanks, Michael.
True, I'm not used to it, but Western hats really wouldn't work for me, perhaps if I were out West, or lived that lifestyle - even on a semi-regular basis, I'd give it a go, as it would be a stylish, but practical hat, rather than what I would feel - as if I were wearing a...
Now, I'm gonna take an opposite approach and post a pic of a very nice hat (Best Made Company - Stetson 6X) that simply does not work with/for me. (That's why I have it on the Classifieds).
Way too wide a brim and a little too Western for me. I see others here with similar wide brimmed Western...
Nice jacket - that's the Classic Woolrich Hunting Jacket that been around forever and ever. My dad had one - the real deal, made in the USA. Unfortunately, when he passed on, my mom gave it to one of his friends. I liked it so much, I bought the newer issue from Orvis a couple of months ago. I...

Great photos Dr. M!
BTW, my "too old" comment was facetious and an outgrown of the "negative comments" thread, which contains a video wherein a purported fashion expert proclaims cafe racers inappropriate for older men -- whatever!
I'm going to add my 2 cents to not...
Yep, my favorite cold weather coat. Unless it a B3 shearling. I should get a larger picture and post something in the "Negative comments from other about your jacket" thread.
A few pics of a Worth&Worth hat of unknown name that I bought a year or so ago. Color is a nice grayish green - depending on the light, as you can see. Bashed and not.
A question for all. Out of curiosity I was looking at the Royal Deluxe quality Strats from JJ Hatts, Delmonico and Bencrafters and the prices range from $175.00 to $245.00. That's a huge spread. What's up with that?
I bought this one about 15 years ago and has only been worn a dozen times, if that.
It's beautifully lined, made in Chile and has leather buttons. Color is a nice well....camel hair color, not with the grayish hue shown here. However, there is a slight stain on the back shown in the last shot...
Well, as much as I am downsizing and selling some hats, a trip into NYC at JJ Hat Center, lightened my wallet a bit, but I always liked the OR and the 20% sale set this one firmly on my head.
Just a couple of quick ones. The color is fawn and the Iphone ain't doing this color justice, then...
