This was the Lone Pine coat (sold by Orvis) I was referencing. Incredibly warm yet light weight, soft leather and sheepskin lining.
Sometimes - actually many times, there just isn't a "fashionable" as in "look at my new jacket" solution that is as functional/practical and comfortable as a well fitting down parka. And I find a certain "beauty" in that.
