Thank you. The fit is better (the Squatter has a more round oval block), and I like the brim size and crown size better. I also like the Silverbelly color better; more versatile than the taupe fawn my Squatter's in.
Third the Element. That's what I drive and I've never had a problem with hatroom. My wife has a CR-V and it has enough hatroom in the car, but I usually have to take my hat off when getting in and out. With the Element, no problem.
Looks terrific! That looks like the same one as mine, pearl grey with a pug and a Dobbs pin. Cloth sweatband, right? I know Dobbs makes an upper line model with a leather sweatband and ribbon, but I can't imagine it being as comfortable in the summer heat.
Thanks, bolt. That was just right out of the box and the brim had gone a bit wonky during shipment, but a little steam and TLC brought it back into shape.
I agree. It suits your face, and I think you can pull it off. However, I think you might be happier with it and feel more comfortable with the brim width if you lowered the crown height a little to make it more proportionate. Oh, and deepening the center crease is the easiest way to lose some...
I think it's a nice looking hat, but I agree that the crown height and brim width look out of proportion to each other. I would suggest re-creasing it with a pork pie or a teardrop shape, which will eat up some of the crown height.
