I'm not entirely sold on the video games argument; I think we have cause and symptom reversed again. A person plays and enjoys a football video game because he has a prior interest in football. I don't know of anyone who began with no interest in football and decided to start playing it in real...
I haven't seen that since we read the book in high school. I really should rent it sometime.
Ditto with the Saint; I saw part of one of those on TCM the other day and remember being very impressed.
The really funny part is that many of these girls go to the trouble of ironing said pajamas. Of course, if I were wearing mine to class, I think the least I could do is see that they were pressed...
When I taught middle school in the morning and went to class in the afternoon, people thought...
Certainly not! John correctly points out that the two tasks are very different, but someone who can sharpen has already mastered the salient points, namely: go slow at first, and don't bear down as though you were grating cheese. So long as he keeps those in mind and rolls on the spine, not the...
Mine certainly did, and everyone on the shaving forum I frequent has had a similarly good experience with his kit. That said, if the new shaver doesn't know how to strop properly, he can roll the delicate edge. Less gentlemanly types will then proceed to blame the razor or the person who...
I highly recommend the kits from Tony Miller for a beginner. If he already has a mug and brush, you can just get the razor and strop. His strops are exceptionally high quality for the price, and the razors come hand-honed at no extra cost.

I was walking about downtown Portland with my girlfriend yesterday, enjoying the beautiful day. She has always wanted a hat, so we asked at John Helmer if they knew of a good place to look, and the salesgirl very helpfully directed us to Pinkham Millinery only a few blocks away. The stock there...
May I suggest catching a performance of the Oregon Symphony if your schedule allows it?
If you like Greek food, I highly recommend Alexis, which is very reasonably priced, or Elani's, which is more expensive.
I hear you there. I bought my first in January, and left for work one day last week without it. It took about five minutes before I realized something was very, very wrong. :-)
