I just got the jacket in and it feels as stout and substantial as I expected.
Anybody recognized this talon zipper ?
It's looking like the weather isn't going to cool down any time soon, but since this jacket is fully reversible and the orange side isn't wool I can wear it with a T shirt...
A suede trucker has been about perfect for me on the 60° mornings we've had in my part of norcal the past month.
That would be my suggestion for leather jackets, but if it doesn't have to be leather I'd go denim.
Are you planning on a lighter duty jacket for certain times of the year or year...
The seller has been on Ebay since 2014, has tons of clothing items listed and 99% positive feedback, so I don't think so but you never know.
I think USPS just kind of messed up a bit, but it seems to be back on track and I'll probably have it tomorrow.
The woolrich I bought on Ebay was supposed to arrive today, but was somehow delivered to a post office 2 hours away from me and now I don't know what's going to happen.
I just hope I get it by this weekend because it looks like It might actually get cool enough to need a jacket, of course that...
I'm noticing that these haven't really fealt like a stiff new pair if boots that needs to be broken in.
Maybe it's because of the generous fit ?
They don't feel too big, and based on my footprint in the insole I'd say they're right where I like them.
The last seems to fit where they should...
I realized that part of my problem was the poorly fitting socks I was wearing.
With the rough out counter cover proving grip I shouldn't have been getting that much heel slip, and figured out that it was a sock issue.
It's much better with the socks I'm wearing today.
I also decided to go with...
Definitely.
Not only is is a jacket, it can be a pillow, the liner can be a sleeping jacket, the ample pockets can carry a lot, and there are buttons on it I still don't know the purpose of which means even more versatility than I've discovered so far.
I bought these Jim green Vellies with summer in mind, but it's looking like I may need to wear thicker socks with them which means jacket weather.
That might not be a bad thing though because they just may go pretty well with my pioneer wear vest and jacket.
I just got them and I'm not sure how I feel yet.
The F&F is good, they look great, and I love the toe room, but they don't really lock my heels in.
There's no hot spots or anything, but they don't tighten up around the ankle like I'm used to and don't fit like a pair of low top sneakers...
They're supposed to be here today, but while they're in my state now they're not exactly in the area so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't show up till tomorrow.
I have really been unhappy with UPS lately, they used to be better for me than FedEx but now their tracking situation sucks .
The USGI M65 will always be the coolest most versatile practical jacket there is.
There are cooler jackets out there, but non with the versatility.
The first jacket I had that I considered cool was an M65, but I mostly just thought it was cool because it was my dads.
Now It's all due to the...
Anyone know the age of this one?
In the OP it says " 1910's-present " but doesn't go past the 70's so where's the " present " ?
[/url']
I'm thinking 80's because it has the 80's+ woolrich logo, but am not positive.
Well I submitted an offer on this then went to sleep, and the seller accepted.
I just scored this woolrich reversible ( I'm guessing 80's ) for $52 shipped.
I could be wrong on the age, but I believe they'd be using YKK by the 90's.
I don't know, but for a workshop boot and summer beater I don't really care how they end up looking.
I specifically chose the Khaki rough out because of it's abrasion resistance., they have other darker colors in rough out as well as smooth out leathers.
The last one ?
That would be the 1892 series tomahawk, and no they don't make them anymore unfortunately.
I think I payed about $300 shipped then shortly after they were discontinued and being cleared out.
This was back in January of '21.
They look especially great with the Rose Anvil kilties I...
I have yet to experience a pair of redwings, but I really do love the Seidel leather weinbrenner uses on the Thorogood line.
I believe ove had my 4364's going on 4 years now, and they always clean up well.
As far as the resole goes I believe you have to have your receipt, so when that time...
