Well, all the parts are in for my .38 Super 1911. It all goes to the gunsmith for fitting the internal parts, then I will put a high polish blued finish on it. Going for a look from the 1920s, wish me luck!- DeaconKC

Well, I am safe from whispering guns for a bit. Just found a correct slide for my Sept 1917 Colt 1911! A bit pricey, but the old warrior deserves to be correct. Just have to find a short grip safety and it will be done!- DeaconKC

Blue Train, Mec-Gar makes great mags for the .38 Super. And Merc, use some bronze wool and a light oil like Remoil or 3in1 [rubbing gently!] on that .38, it will clean it up beautifully without harming the bluing.- DeaconKC
