I come from the southern most part of the state of Texas. I once had to drive up to the panhandle in the northern part of the state and it was a 12 hour drive and it would’ve still taken another 4-5 to get across the border into Oklahoma.

Rios of Mercedes Buffed Hippo. I love the look a of a matte-toned black boot over a polished look.
I prefer a square toe to round but appreciate anything well made. This toe is what rios calls a “Milan” toe. They also have a hybrid sole and a very soft goat top. Double stitch welt.
Excellent...
Picked this hat up at a local boot shop that was going out of business early last year. Crystal with a chocolate trim. It’s labeled as a 5x from Victor’s Just Boots. I’ll miss the ol place used to walk in and purchase new old stock beaver hat brand lids, Nocona belts, and other great finds...
Not sure what size you are but I stumbled upon these very nice Justin's that are similar to what you're looking for with an added toe bug and alittle more western styling.

Joao, the colorful hats are making a come back. A newer maker, Warbonnet Hat works out of Decatur,Texas makes some really cool colors.
I️ like these older ones however, many of them sat in boxes all this time.

Olathe Boot co. These are from the old Kansas factory before they where bought out by Anderson Bean. These where custom made for a gentlemen who did re-enactments of some sort, maybe Calvary or Civil war. I️ owned them for a few months and they got a lot of attention especially from cow punchers...
I️’be only seen one other and the size was 6 1/2. I’m glad to have it. It’s in like new condition. Left my finger tips blue.

Fun find this weekend. Kind of a rare bird, I’ve never seen one in any size over 6 7/8. Here’s the third American Hat co. Grizzly in my collection. It’s a 5x in a blue color. Not quite electric blue, not really Tiffany blue. I’d describe it as “Oiler Blue” from the old Houston NFL team. This hat...
Not 100% but I️ believe the label changed in the late 90s and now they’re mostly over seas produced. I️ had a pair of elephant boots made by them that I️ really liked. They used to be among the best.

I️ was out tagging and branding calves this morning on the far side of the ranch where I️ work. It was abit cold so I️ stopped to take lunch at a cabin that is mostly used for storage.
I️ saw a bag with what looked like a boot top sticking out. Found these beauties. Lucchese Full Quill...
Pirarucu, also called arapaima, have gotten really popular. Anderson Bean started making boots out of it in all kinds of crazy colors. They call it “big bass” I don’t mind the look when the outlines are trimmed down. Sometimes this is left shaggy and can look dirty. Too soft of a hide for me...
