That is a beautiful hat, which you have made better. I thought, from your earlier photos, that the finish looked high end. The crease is excellent, it looks like it was begging for a center fire. I like the old style creases. This Miller Bros. "Sterling Beaver" was a gift from @Michael R (thanks buddy!!). Not sure of the beaver content, but the gold "wallpaper" applied to the end of the box implies that it was their top-of-the-line hat. This is the second crease I've put in it and it shapes easily. The felt feels amazing.
As Michael found it:

That's a seriously sweet score, Bob! I dig that old style crease.Newly arrived 1950s Bailey U-Rollit "Saddle King" in Philippine Buntal straw.

The guy on the left has the truck bumper or something under his....it was as if they had a bench right up under their ass.
I could probably squat like that for hours....because after about the first five minutes I wouldn't be able to get back up anyway. 30+ years of construction work has not been very kind to my knees. What a great pic, Cuz. I grew up around so many men who could squat like that, seemingly for hours, it was as if they had a bench right up under their ass.
Looks much better with the ribbon. I've never seen a shag that color.Fun find this weekend. Kind of a rare bird, I’ve never seen one in any size over 6 7/8. Here’s the third American Hat co. Grizzly in my collection. It’s a 5x in a blue color. Not quite electric blue, not really Tiffany blue. I’d describe it as “Oiler Blue” from the old Houston NFL team. This hat was purchased at the American Hat Co Houston store back when that was their HQ. Top shows how I️ got it. Other pics are after I’ve put my hands to it. Steel colored ribbon.
