I think I saw this guy once before. He was asking about his precious. If you spend a lotta time in the great outdoors, squattin' comes natural. However, squatting indoors can have some serious side effects.

BB -- Is the ribbon dark green? 5-cord? Was it original or did you change it? I like how it all works together & the colors really looks good in that pic.

I like it a lot too; did when I first saw it. And being a Portis it has to be a rare piece & in such excellent shape. Glad it all worked out & you like it!Hey, Jack. It's a 6 cord black that measures right at 5/8" and is original to the hat. The hat is such a dark green that the ribbon is hard to distinguish except in just the right light. Have never been in the market for a green hat, much less a western but I am really enjoying this one. One of the best purchases I've made in awhile. Hats off to you for bringing it to my attention.
How cool! Much better with the ribbon. I just YUCK those feather bands.
A baby blue Resistol in 7 1/4 had appeared on ebay once. I lost it.
Not quite electric blue, not really Tiffany blue. I’d describe it as “Oiler Blue” from the old Houston NFL team.
Good Morning folks.. Any "Cowboy's/Cowgirl's" want to show their hats? I'd like to see what you have and how it's curled Ron
Picked this hat up on Ebay while back. Left photo is what it looked like when I bought it and right is after. Stetson probably from the '80s , nice 4X Beaver. Paid $29.00. I'm pretty happy with that deal.
Thanks for the kind word.I like what you've done there!
Learn something new every day, thank you sir.Known officially as "Columbia Blue."
Excellent work, you wouldn't know it was the same hat. I like the more old West look you have given it.View attachment 93398 View attachment 93399

I think the colorful" hats are for something like a event, not to wear "all year".Thanks all!
Joao, the colorful hats are making a come back. A newer maker, Warbonnet Hat works out of Decatur,Texas makes some really cool colors.
I️ like these older ones however, many of them sat in boxes all this time.
Thank you. I like the Old West style as well.Excellent work, you wouldn't know it was the same hat. I like the more old West look you have given it.

Thanks. It turned out better than I thought it would.I like what you did too , Nice Job . Unrecognizable , Nice Hat .
That is such a good looking hat! The ribbon fits the hat perfectly, it has the old West look.Wearing a Rand Tom Horn on yet another cloudy, dreary day.
