joey I would say if that is what you like, tall, squared crowns this/these are the ones. I would check with Art though seems to me I read somewhere when he runs out of a particular ribbon that is it for that model replica hat.
This may give you a better idea of how well these hats are made. here it is side by side with one of Art Fawcett's beauties. his interpretation of the Last Man Standing hat. it makes it very difficult deciding which hat to wear at any one time. Arts is on the left by the way and is beaver as...
Dan thank you for the comment on the hat, I am starting to really get attached to it.
Okay on the drums I am guessing you are a musician.
The low down on that kit; I bought that bass, a TAMA Imperialstar 14 X 26 new in 1976. The toms are Keller 5 ply shells, 10 X 12, 14 X 14. I wrapped the...
Thanks for the tips and comments guys, ummm it's starting to grow on me. I've been wearing it around the house since I got home from work, it IS just a tad loose on me, and the actual "body" of the hat is larger than I expected. I am thinking just normal wear might tighten the sweat band...
I was expecting the crown to be a tad higher, don't get me wrong its a beautiful hat nice and firm, creases are all even very nice hat. the craftsmanship is excellent, it is a tad large, I think once I get to wearing it just getting the sweatband damp will do the trick. felt is beautiful
Rough photos I'm at work, not so sure, BIG hat. it isn't quite the way I had envisioned it but I suppose a lot of stuff isn't. its a tad darker, not in a bad way than I thought it would be from Mikes other Whisky hats. I'll get better more precise photo's at home. I DID ask for the wider ribbon...
I am currently into a 3 month wait on a "modified" 1930's PLAYBOY from NORTHWEST HATS. Whisky beaver felt, 6" crown, 1 1/2" dark brown ribbon, 2 1/8" raw edge brim with one row of decorative stitching. According to the last word from Mike, this could be anytime now, the wait is killing me...
i am just trying to get more educated. its hard to find solid info on these. it seems there are a few of you guys with a lot of knowledge about these and i am trying to pick some brains! i love the jacket, its a matter of a little warmer weather now! hopefully, but the way this winter has...
i do seem to remember these being short, mine just covers my belt line. in all fairness, any other Lee Rider i have had in my life would have been from the early 70's on, and from what i understand when they added the hand warmer pockets the basic "cut" of these changed also? is this true...
