So, opened up the old mailbox, and these things are completely badass. Nice supple leather, well made excellent three season gloves that completely match a vintage motorcycle jacket, all for less than $20 shipped. Grea tdeal, and there's still 3 pair left.
I just got a Legendary horsehide CHP jacket in size 48 (a STEAL at $399 on their website) , and the arms were quite good in length, and I'm 6'1. I'll probably take a poke at this if it stays right.
It's all in how you carry it off. Worn with confidence, this 51 year old with a beer gut gets lots of compliments on his short jackets. I usually wear a black CHP or brown bootlegger style. I think they look smashing on me, and that is more than enough to carry the day.
When I flip the collar up on my pedestrian B-3 copy to ride the bike, it's just the greatest. Really keeps the wind off your core at very high speed, which is the trick to a good cold weather jacket. I find it to be a terrific addition.
Just bought a pair and will update when they come, but they are going to look awesome with my bootlegger on the '55 Panhead. Super cheap too.

My cheap (but real shearling) B-3 knockoff has been the greatest cold weather MC jacket I've ever owned. I don't find it too hot when it's not absolutely frigid like most here, but maybe that's just me. It just seems to do a much better job than fleece or any of the technical jackets I own of...
Well now that I see it, it's gone!;)
But, from a fair bit of int'l travel, and an interest in both food and antiques, I'd say it's a cooking or perhaps, just a serving pot - the holes are for a carrying loop, and the script looks more thai/laotian to me than Japanese. The ridges on the bottom...
Well, after missing out on two Aeros last week that I really was into, I finally hit on one. Now I have to sweat whether or not it's real horsehide as well as sizing, but it was too good a deal to pass up.
Tell me about it. I look daily. There are quite a few on now, and one I am definitely going to go pretty high on. I try not to get my hopes up as invariably it goes way past my range (which is pretty high) or is just not quite what I am looking for to pull the trigger on.
Fair enough, and I certainly agree with the spirit of your post. The genie would appear to be out of the bottle though - let's just hope that folks can look past the pejoratives and speculation when reading.
