Thanks all, I try to only buy stuff I can wear, but some of these I just couldn't pass up, even if they are a little tight on me. The brown Playboy might have to either find a good stretcher, or be placed up for sale. But I figured if I couldn't wear it, it'll go to a good home to someone from...
I've just recently read it and I found it fascinating! It was full of trivia and information I had never heard or even guessed at. Well worth reading, in my opinion!

Well, today I went to my favorite Antique store and picked up 3 more hats and it occurred to me that I seem to have a very bad addiction going here. Now some of you may remember that I first came on here back in March after having purchased 4 rather nice hats. At the time, I had only a few...
Uh, J.T. can I just say...I hate you! LOL. Just kidding around. VERY nice collection you have there. And so very nicely displayed! I'm seriously jealous!

Well, I found this on the Askmen.com website in their fashion area under "Clothes Big Boys Don’t Wear" article......
"To a female, baseball caps signify an adolescent attitude, so if you’re attempting to attract a woman of legal age, forgo the cap in favor of more fashionable headgear or...
This was on a photography site I frequent and I thought you all might like tp see it.

I simply put the link because I don't want anyone to think this was a photo of mine. They are very big on giving credit where credit is due, on...
Actually Bolthead, it's purple! Like I said, I couldn't find black so I went another way. I may eventually see if I can't find a black ribbon or pugaree, but I just love this color; it's so bright and just a bit on the "unusual" side. I figure, it's my hat and I can put any color on it I...
A number of you saw this Panama that I bought a while back that appeared to have been originally a Ladies hat.
Here is what I've done to it. I wasn't able to find black ribbon so I went a different direction. :)
If you look closely, you will see some discoloration just...
Well, I finally found what I've been searching the antique shops for...a Panama! Ok, I'll just pretend it's a real Panama, not sure I believe that label. Now granted, it was in the womens section and it obviously was sold as a woman's hat, but I don't see why with a new ribbon treatment and...
OK, now I know it is not vintage, but I lusted after this car for 5 years....3 years before they even started building them. I saw it at as a concept car in 2002 and decided I HAD to have one. Finally got it 2 months ago.
OK, along the lines of this thread....I wore may Whippet today. Pouring rain and snow. Needless to say it get wet! OK now here's the problem....the darn thing smells like a wet dog...or maybe a wet dead beaver! Is there anything I can or should do to allleviate this wonderful aroma? I...
You know Marc, I just found another OR in great shape for a reasonable price locally here. In my size, no less. Are you sure it wouldn't be a sacrilege to dye a vintage OR? I like the idea of a black Open Road. I just might give this a try...that is if the other FL'ers don't group together...
Door, I can tell you from recent experience, try your local antique stores/malls. I just picked up a few really nice vintage hats for very cheap by going that route. It won't happen on every trip, but you just never know what you'll find out there.

Very nice lid. That's the 1st Homburg I've seen that I really liked. Oh and Art, I just now noticed where you are located. I've got good friends that live in Eagle Point. I'm almost embarassed to admit it but I used to live in Gold Hill. I still follow the antics of their police...
