mmmmm. . .
Speechless
Ashes to ashes
Felt to dust
And so the hat returns to. . .
My theology studies leave me without any eschatological understanding for this hat.
I checked out my local BCF the other day. There were boxes of hats in the floor. Big four foot long boxes. I went through each of them. They all contained either 6 7/8 and 7 1/8 black wool stingies or a really fuzzy cheaply made felt Aussie/Western looking conglomeration. They did have...
Fats, that is great! I love that shot of you. It is hard to believe it was a westen hat.
And, yes, Rusty is a great fellow. Shoot, he's from the best part of the world. That sure helps!
I'll post mine later after taking some pictures. I've always liked the diamond bash. As an aside, take a look at John Wayne's hat in some of his movies. It has a diamond bash. Rio Lobo is one example.
JT, that muiltifaceted bash has been aroung for some time. I've seen it on some vintage...
The more I see those Camptowns the more I want one. Splendid looking hat.
I also like your using the sheetrock corner bead for drip edge on the dog house! A man after my own heart-let nothing go to waste.
I don't think so. Those pictures right above are from ads from that time when the hats were new. Also, in photographs and movies from the period one can spot the same characteristic.
