No matter how you slice it, WW2 Reenacting is about the common, not the uncommon. While the fighting, debating, and tit for tat never ends on the subject.
This is one of those age old "debates/arguments/fights" it usually involves someone who has something which is not "normal" or "average" to the theater of battle. So in order to justified it, they have some obscure photo. Often times the picture is of rear troops and not combat infantry squads...
I wonder if there is a youtube version of this video?
Very well done!
EDIT - They have other videos, quite creative and original, that they posted on youtube one:

One thing about WPG everything is made and shipped from overseas (Pakistan). My understanding is he doesn't keep any inventory in the states. So there is no Quality Control on WPG side, other than the customers inspecting his/her purchase, and then living with it or sending it back for a refund...
I have to agree with Danny, the WW2 Impression ones are an intense green. I have one, and over the years the color has faded and improved. But on day-one they are out of place.
We've had the pleasure of 7+ 101st veterans coming out to reenactments out at Camp Roberts
Check this site as watch two short video clips of what they had to say and sing :)

And it is these same guys who have the time and money to develop the hobby. Buy and keep up all the great armor pieces you see. Have the rifles and weapons for use. Bring the food, water, extras, the younger guys either don't have or can't afford. And finally have the cars and trucks to bring...
The standard "jump boot" was used by the airborne on jumps. but later in the war, for example Battle of the Bulge they wore the combat boot, also referred to a "double buckle".
Also those shown on Sportsman's guide are french boots. The Allied or American boot has a difference rubber sole...

It was great to see the guys exhibit some of the same excitement and curiosity of recieving mail that a soldier might have had. Some place them in their helmets
Yeah those CHG events are the best on the west coast. Over 250 men and women. Plenty of armor, no other event has armor like the the CHG Camp Robert's battles.
Here is a few of our pictures from the CHG West Coast Regional, November
A lot of WW2 reenactments are tactical battles which focus on combat tactics and weapons. So our unit had decided to expand the experience for our members by staging "mail calls", with what we think is a pretty authentic first attempt.
All the envelopes are actual WW2 era vmail and letter...
Here are some, it represent the combine efforts of the 101st and the 34thID out in california. Coming together to reenact as Marines. Unfortunately most reenactors out here only do ETO. But when the HBO mini-series comes out next year, our PTO battle should see an increase
