It's interesting. When I put the hat on and look in the mirror straight-on, I see a low cattleman-ish crown with wider side dents. When I turn my head to the side and look at my reflection out of the corner of my eye, I see a semi-pinch. :) -

I like the Gus crease a lot. Sadly, it doesn't look good on me. But it looks good on almost everyone else! I do have an Akubra with a semi-Gus crease. -

Thanks. Yeah, from some angles the crease still has the cattleman look. I call this crease a Cattle Pinch, because it's a cross between a cattleman and a pinch. The side dents have been shortened front-to-back, deepened vertically and moved forward. Don Collier wore a hat with a similar crease... -

Here's an eBay Stetson 4X Beaver I just got. It has the tall "Rancher" crown and a 3 1/2" brim. The seller said it belonged to his father, who was from Kansas and was a country-western dancer in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. I don't like Cattleman crowns, and so I think I'm going to re-crease it... -

Akubra Coober Pedy colors
I just ordered a Coober Pedy from him in fawn. His fawn looks lighter than Santone Fawn, but that's probably due to the lighting. He will reshape the crown and brim any way you want. I asked for a modified "Gus" crease and an upcurled brim. I'll post a picture when I receive it. -

Agreed. The OR is probably best described as a western dress hat. I live in upstate New York. I only wear my outback hat while hiking, or during a snowstorm, to circumvent the "cowboy" comments. For some reason, I never get a comment when there is snow coming down. I guess people figure that... -

Before and after (blurry) pictures of the Stetson. I modified the crown and the brim. It was my first time doing this. You can't see it, but the original crease line is visible in the back, toward the top of the crown.
