Maybe their email address on the web site is invalid, I got an 'undeliverable' notification when I asked them something once. From memory I think they have a tel No. on the site, you could try that?
Great idea for a thread.
I have 2 questions related to irons:
1. Can anybody provide me with any information about how the ironwork to shape fabric is done? I'm capable of sewing basic trousers, but I know that quality ones have the fabric shaped during construction (before or after sewing?)...
I don't own these so can't comment on the quality, but these look good to me:

Ooh, just found this from 1914:

Not really a ration-friendly recipe though.
Here's a recipe card courtesy of East Sussex council...
Interesting, I've never really thought about the origins of carrot cake before!
Here's it's ancestor, 'carrot pudding' from 1699:
Pudding of Carrot. Pare off ſome of the Cruſt of Manchet-Bread, and grate of half as much of the reſt as there is of the Root, which muſt alſo be grated: Then take...
I like foraging for stuff, we have these in our cupboards:
bramble jelly, rosehip jelly, hawthorn jelly, plum jam, cherry jam, greengage jam, raspberry jam - all good for butties or scones. I know sugar was rationed, but these make good use of it!
foraged salad leaves - dandelion/ramson etc...
Nice work everybody.
About that button - I'd be interested to see how much (if any) detail is lost in the mould-making & casting process. Could you post a side by side photo with it next to the original please?
I used to have one of those Huntsman umbrellas - far too heavy, I'd rather get rained on!
I gave it to a charity shop and got a vintage Fox umbrella from Ebay for £30 - I think the silver in the handle was worth more than that!
Re. the look - that was my 1st thought too. The Heyday ones don't wear particularly well in my experience though - fabric went a bit bobbly after a few washes.
Shame really as I love the women's wear my gf. has from them.
The site says that album is available to the UK, £8.40 - but clicking on the options to download the full album or individual songs all result in a "This item is unavailable" message.
Have you tried connecting via a non-US proxy server?
EDIT: that's a silly price to pay, the same MP3s are £4.99...
Strongly recommend you try this on scrap fabric first if you're doing it yourself - practice, practice, practice.
