It looks like we've lost a bit of the posts on this thread... I wasn't even able to read the posts from today until I posted this! A shame really... this is such a good thread!
And apparently priced rather reasonably.... I might have to pick up a pair and try them out. Of course I shall need some new boots as well.... and ridiculously tall socks... ooh... and one of those little hats!
Oh.... I'll probably try one... hiking up here in Washington... maybe near Leavenworth (which is like a little Bavarian village)! Would some low hiking boots and knee length socks be in order?
I understand that the British officer's ammunition boots are too thin for heavy outdoor use.... I was hoping for something that I could wear with leather gaiters...
Has anyone here seen the American Mountain Ski Boots put out by What Price Glory? I'm wondering if they are any good...

When I had my pompadour I used pomade religiously. I was never without Murrays or even Sumo Wax when it was to be had. Of course now I've moved on from the pomp and am looking for a more classic 30's or 40's style. Which products should I be keeping in mind witht he change?
Another day on the job.... crisply starched white shirt (I know... I suppose it is a trend in my dress habits), tan trousers (pleated and cuffed), two tone wingtips, houndstooth blazer, and RAF ascot. The ascot wasn't too much for work, right?;)
