Wow, thanks for the link! Those pictures are fun, 'specially the snow mobile--I've never seen anything like it! Back on topic, does someone know any movies that this type of car appears in?
I have a terrible memory, but the cars that seem the coolest, and most fun to take a ride in, are those '20s jalopies you see in movies, the ones painted black and have fantastic quotes scrawled over them in chalk. Love 'em!
Brilliant fil-um. I was completely blown away by Russell Crowe in particular. Very well cast.
I saw There Will Be Blood (stunning) and Juno, which was not as great as I was expecting. [huh] Fun, though! I watched Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang! the other night too--I love that movie. Kilmer should do...
Love that show--I wish that more than the first season would be released on DVD.
By the way, I wish to be in Glasgow too--I love that city! My best friend lives there, and it's one of the friendliest, most homely places I've been.
Well, I'm not British either. But when I talk to one of my closest friends who lives in Scotland, sometimes it takes us a while to get on the same page. The term "fanny pack" is a canyon apart from our usage (she calls it a bum bag), but for the sake of decency I'm not going to explain it. :D lol
I adore that song. One of those that I'll sing along to whenever I hear it!
"Say it's only a canvas sky, hangin' over a muslin tree..."
Gotta love it. Reminds me of a stage set, you know?
Forget waiting for it to come out here--you'll be waiting a decade. Order it from Amazon UK! ;)
Edit to add: I just checked Amazon US, and although it's offered for sale, for about the same amount that you'd pay in the UK, it's currently "out of stock". Whatever that means...
Well, I never did see Planet of the Apes, so I can't judge on that! It did look horrendous, though.
Anyway, I don't think there is anything like an original idea. It all stems from, or is inspired by, something. [huh] I haven't seen anything quite like Sweeney Todd before, though I could...
Ooh, that's one I've been wanting to read. I see it every day at work, lured by that pretty, familiar color. Glad to see someone liked it, so now I have an excuse to buy it for myself!
It's a weird one, something my Dad started, but when I have a fever or I'm really cold, I put a little bit of Bailey's in my tea instead of milk. I know, sacrilege! but it tastes really good, and boosts my internal temp quickly!
Cursing sometimes, well, just fits! I don't really think it's a vice. No harm done, in my opinion. I never direct the words towards anyone, it's more of a general statement. If cursing to release my frustration makes me ill-mannered, well so be it! ;) lol
