    Todays crooner#1

Billy Idol. Has anyone heard his Christmas album that came out last year? Perfect. But in all honesty, I can't think of any crooners, really. There's only one for me, Bing, and no one can beat him.

    Homemade christmas decorations...

Your mock turkey looks fantastic! And I'm stunned at the price--I paid thirty dollars for our T'sgiving turkey this year, and the mister was organic! Let me know how the mock goose turns out--i've always wanted to try wartime recipes, but the rest of my family isn't so keen! And of course...

High school is over, never looked back. I had a good group of friends there, but I couldn't go back to hanging out with that crowd again. i move in new circles. Now it's well over, I have more fun than I ever did in that walled nucleus. I try not to make a distinction between work and play...

    Foreign Films from the 30s-49??

Well, for me, any film with Jean Gabin, especially La Grande Illusion (1937) and Quai des Brumes (1939), a movie that has one of best love scenes in cinema, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to any suggestions from others, too!!

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I just went and saw Atonement at the Arclight this evening--what a fantastic film. Gorgeous cinematography, beautiful use of music and sounds, and stellar performances by James McAvoy, Saoirse Ronan and Vanessa Redgrave. I was very skeptical at first--I am loathe to watch any film with Keira...

    Let's See That Tree!

Yes, ma'am! Thanks! I thought it turned out pretty well, too (took two boxes this year--last year's snowfall was a box heavier lol ). And Richard, that tree is depressing! Wow...makes Charlie Brown look like a true hero!

    "Where there's tea, there's hope"

I'm a tea drinker--have been since my mom so thoughtfully put tea (heavily cream'ed and sugar'ed) in my bottle when I was six months old. I only drink black teas (usually imported, if possible), Assam, Darjeeling or a Breakfast blend, for the most part (no herbal, no way no how). I like Moroccan...
