    Briefcases

Shaun Those all look quite nice. That wallet in particular looks pretty cool... and I think that the chain-loop looks subdued enough that the wallet doesn't look too... bikerish? A see-through plastic slide for a photo ID might be useful, considering how much security is involved in travel...

    New Jacket Required

Could you give a bit more info? If you're looking for a real dress coat, a nice over-coat always looks classic... just make sure it fits well. Now, if you want more of a work coat that still has plenty of style, many of the members here are particular to classic leather jacket makers: Schott...

Looking for a Particular (Ladies) Hat

Hello all New member, first thread started. My sister is looking for a rather broad-brimmed straw hat, perhaps in black, with a lower crown. Though I know a number of vendor's for quality men's hats, I have yet to find a site that sells fine ladies' hats... any suggestions? My sister has...

    Christys hats and rain

A bit more style or panache. The Christy's look like a dressier hat with more choice, where as Akubra's seem to have a bit of the rougher "work hat" style. I don't own a Christy's however, so this is just speculation. Now I am curious however: how does the feel of Christy's felt compare to...

    Christys hats and rain

Uh oh... lock up the wallet! I'd considered these before when I was still looking for an "Indy" hat... but I went with an akubra for wear value. Akubra's are nice... but the Christy's seem to have more flair, as well as more customization. And I'm thinking of getting another Akubra... I...

    And the winner is...

Cafe Racer Beautiful jacket, man! Looks very 1960's, but in a good way. Few cafe racers really look good to my eyes, but that looks really nice. Hope it fits well! Looking at it again, I'd say there is a very good chance it IS from the 60's. Awesome. Nicely worn too...

Gibson & Barnes Catalina Airline jacket

The Catalina Is that an elastisized waistband? I know that quite a few jackets were made during the golden era with elastisized leather, but I've always thought it looked sort of like a modern cost-saving shortcut... the same with a vertical seam running down the back. If you like the look...

How many Aeros does a guy need, and where does he put them?

Haha! Murena, I think the question has to do with [I]why[I] one collects vintage or vintage-styled jackets. If it's for practicality's sake, then that depends on where you live, what you do on a daily basis, and what kind of image you need to put out for your job or daily life. Now if you're...

Aero Cheyenne – Vintage Brown FQHH, Size 40 (lots of large pics)

Looking good there Southern! The look of Aero's overcoat styles seems a bit difficult to pull off... but you wear it well. Wear in good health and enjoy!

Well... 5 is a nice round even number... lol

    Indy V

My thoughts exactly... though I personally miss Indy trudging through Middle Eastern sands. How about an Indy film involving the oil embargo? lol

New Bonnie and Clyde... what do you think?

Eh... In all honesty, what angle can they take with this? Bonnie and Clyde's story has been romanticized, publicized, and condensed down so many times that it doesn't seem like another film could do anything better than the original. The original was great because it gave us characters who we...

    Aero halfbelt camp?

My advice? Hang on to that jacket! The half-belt is perhaps one of the most basic designs of classic leather jackets. I say this not because I feel that it is too simple, but rather because it is one that is wearable. I say wear that thing until it falls apart. Then wear the scraps. Make it...

How many Aeros does a guy need, and where does he put them?

Well said. Though of course with modern clothing, that worn-in-beat-up look can be yours right out of the box! That's one of the things that I appreciate about Aeros, and vintage clothing in general: all the battle scars and graining is the mark of a human being. There's something very cool to...

    My "Public Enemies" outfit

Of course! One must look their finest when rifling through the vault. I thought that the film itself was quite well made... but there just didn't seem to be too much there. Yes, it was good fun, and I suppose much of it was historically accurate, however it seemed to lack any kind of depth...

How many Aeros does a guy need, and where does he put them?

Haha! Man... what would I do with over 50 jackets? More appropriately, what WOULDN'T I do with over 50 jackets? There's one for backyard parties, one for hanging out, one for wearing to mom's... time to lock the wallet up ;) One wonders how many jackets someone living in the golden era WOULD...

    The dirty rotten ones !

Red Rot Too bad about those jackets, they look neat. Is there any way to stop the spread of the rot so that they might be wearable? Real shame when we can't hold on to things of the past...

    My Aero Long Half Belt...

LHB Ya know... I always thought the LHB would make an excellent jacket for a partisan leader to wear. However, this might be influenced by a certain film featuring Daniel Craig...[huh] Jacket, and fit, both look great. Aero really does make some wonderfull stuff. Wear in good health :)

    What the heck is this?

Huh... Perhaps from the '60's or '70's? Didn't frock coats, ruffles, and the like come in to style with the Beatles/mod scene? Might be something along those lines... Looks like a rather nice print though. How's the fabric to the touch?

    New Aero Arrival

Bootlegger Got mine a few weeks back. Awesome jacket. There's a certain elegance to this style that doesn't need to look flashy, but still packs a real visual wallop. I have to agree that the smaller lapels, and all around softer tone of the jacket lends it a cleaner look... which I think...
