Hmm, isn't it unusual that they write "made in america" rather than "made in usa"? That means it could very well be made in central or south america and no one would be the wiser. You see a lot of products in Europe that say "made in europe" -- on products that used to be made in germany or the...
I haven't ordered anything from them but I have asked them several questions via email and they always respond immediately, which is a good sign. I have a feeling they get a bad rap around here because some of their jackets may not be as authentic, but I think a number are. They say they are...
Looks very thin. Mil-Tec I believe makes a lot of low-priced military apparel, like jackets and boots. I would assume that they are made very economically with thin leather. I see them offered a lot on German websites but have never seen one up close.
Yes, check out these two curious pics -- they are both Schott 184SM jackets, but with very different fitting waistbands. I personally prefer the tighter one. It does not ride up on me like on some other people, although I can't say that it's really tight, but it's certainly not loose.
Wow, so Schott's A-2 (184SM?) collar fits the Perfecto?! I know Schott also sells a mouton collar specially for the Perfecto, but I didn't know the A-2 collar fit. Does it fit perfectly?
I never said US Wings used to supply the military with jackets. It seemed from reading some of the above posts that there was still a "Cooper" brand being supplied to the military, which I think is not the case at all. I think I just misread or was confused by the use of present-tense grammar...
Funny, I had the exact opposite problem a few years ago when I bought a new 184SM size 44. I found the waistline was too loose and the jacket did not have that "bottleneck" look at the waist -- it just hung down at the same width as the rest of the jacket and looked like a leather sack. I...
Wait, doesn't U.S. Wings own Cooper? Isn't that how they came to be, buy taking over Cooper? Is it possible that US Wings still has the Cooper label as an official military supplier while its own US Wings brand is sold to the general public?
Those Barbour jackets would be much better without the gaudy logo on the pocket. I don't like to pay a company in order to advertise for them. It should be the other way around.
I'm considering Noble House as well. I'm looking for a shearling jacket but not necessarily a historically accurate one, just a nice and warm sheepskin coat that I can wear over a shirt and not have to worry about layering. I don't like synthetic fibers so am not into high-tech, light-weight...
I'm thinking about getting one of their sheepskin jackets, either the B3 or the B6 or the M44. They all look great. So do the Irvins.
Here are some videos. They mention their factory in Argentina in the last video.

Hey BBC,
check out Fox Creek -- they specialize in motorcycle jackets and I can testify to their quality -- tough, thick leather, some jackets come with inside armor pockets.
Most have zip ventilation. They also have a leather jeans-style jacket, of which I have one -- very nice. The leather...
And here another new pic of Cap (in his cool leather jacket -- is that an Aero?) and his faithful sidekick Bucky

Looks fantastic. Incredible color and texture -- great patina all around. I'd be really interested to see what it looks like when it comes back to you. I'm waiting for a used Highwayman myself, but it's in very new condition.
