    I just bought those same boots from LL Bean in a 14 med and I love mine. I had a similar pair of Chippewa brogans that lasted for many years. I was very happy to see them offered again. You won't be disappointed;)

    I have my grandma's cast iron wash pot in the backyard. My aunt said it was given to my grandma on her wedding day. She also said there must have been a million pairs of bluejeans washed in that old pot. It became my daddy's and now is my backyard charcoal grill. We must have cooked a million...

    I remember those. We had a neighbor that used them on bluejeans. Her boys always wore nicely pressed and creased jeans to school. "Pants stretchers" is a name that comes to mind, but I could be wrong.

    Gosh..that's too bad. Some places you can't use one, and some places don't allow them. I can't imagine being without one. My wife pulled some sheets off the line this afternoon, and I know that I'll be sleeping extra good tonight;)

    What happened to growing your own chow?

    I grow a little these days in a little spot up next to the house on the sunnyside. My collards and cabbage are doing fine now, and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes in the summer. We have had a big vegetable garden in the past, but I eased up a little last year due to my new hip;)

    Anybody use a clothesline? If you don't have one, do yourself a favor and put one up. We use the line most of the time instead of the electric dryer which is suppose to be bad on clothes anyway. Anyway, I try to do my share of conserving energy while saving a little money. My clothes smell...

    I hope you early Christmas tree put'er uppers keep your trees well hydrated. Those things can be a fire hazard big time when they get too dry;) We usually put one up just a few days before Christmas when they almost give them away.

    I enjoy college football. I went to the Carolina-Duke game yesterday, and it was another classic game between the two schools. Carolina won in a chilly overtime period.
