I owe a recent Schott 257, their famous civil B3, that I bought around 2019, and it must be noticed that it was sold new, hand-vintaged by their factory ! Maybe the one you bought was this way too and it is why it does not look brand new.
It is just a matter of style and...
As far as I am concerned, the sleeves of a jacket must end from below the wrist bone up to the start of the thumb.
Your sleeves are short, but not too short and still look stylish.
Definitively not a made in usa jacket !
It looks 100% like a LC jacket not made in USA, from Schott Europe. Especially the inside... Someone has messed around with some tags...
641xx steerhide second hand on the way for a resonable 300 €... :) It will join my black 38 141, black 38 641HH and brown small 654 in the cafe racer category...
I own a brown leather peacoat from Schott USA too which must be around 30 years old. It is a super robust coat. Like many of Schott Jackets, the fact that so many of them from 40 or 30 years old are still around in very decent condition is a testament to the durability of Schott jackets. But...
In the Bob Aldrich's political thriller "Twilight's Last Gleaming", there are many M65s around. Most notably worn by Burt Young and by the Man : Burt Lancaster himself ! I have noticed that they are worn more tight in this movie from 1978 than in more recent movies from the 80s etc...
For us europeans, quite a few interesting promotions in the Made In USA selection of Schott France for their black friday sale. No freight cost in France and no additional taxes in the EU !

I am six feet tall and i have several Schott jackets that have 26" back and they are fine (619, 118, 626VN...). My 118 being absolutely perfect as far as the fit goes. We had a discussion a few weeks ago about the influence of the back length varying with the position of the collar in the...
Hère is an interesting text by wested leather about two different patterns of the Raiders jacket. Both have the same back measurements, but the hero one looks one or two inches longer because of the more backward position of the back of the collar. This is all a pattern matter (check part 4 ...
Thanks for the precisions.
When i was writing about the "classic" 613 and 618, I was talking about these models in the last ten years, not about the perfecto look of the 60s which I was not specially looking for.
Although the Schott website says the jacket back of the 613SH is 25 inches long...
Schott US's products are made in the USA in their own union endorsed (if i remember correctly) factory, with their own trained workers and machines.
Makes a lot of difference to me compared to Belstaff, The Kooples or Sandro who commission workshops here and there, especialy here and there...
I have not taken the chance to really wear my new 641HH 38.
But as I said in another thread, it looks to me exactly as the same leather as the 613SH. It is a very slim fitting jacket, it is supposed to be the same cut as the 641 steerhide, which is the same as the 141 but one size down.
The...
Although it is not a summer jacket, i have worn my brand new Schott 613SH one day last week for the fun.
First, it is quite heavy, as heavy as my Schott 118 if i am not mistaken, although the leather seems slightly slimmer. It is definitively an autumn/winter jacket.
Second, It is not much...
