How to travel with hats

Long Oval versus regular size
I wear a 7 3/8 LO. A regular 7 3/8 is a tad tight. A 7 1/2 fits perfectly at the front and the back, but there are gaps at the side. So whatever your size is, if you're a LO, the next size up may fit right fore and aft, but not port or starboard. Dunno if that answers your question, but...
