I'm afraid that what you have can't be cured, only managed. So forget fighting and think more in terms of directing. For instance, were I you, I'd figure out what I wanted and send my idea and money to Mr. Fawcett.
I'll have a mai tai, RBH, while we're waitin' on those pictures. It's been a while, but that pic you're in is just how I remember the Arkansas Delta. Are you in your back yard?
I agree with Razzman and his Vegas observation. "Worth it" is a matter of perspective. For most of us, no hat would be worth $75K, but then (for me anyway) the question is academic because I never could pay that kind of jack anyway. There are folks who are flown to Vegas on their own jets...
yeah, I must agree. Not much hat wise goin' on. Take your own. I always do, but don't see much of anyone else wearing anything worth talking about. Although I did see Steve Harvey and his entourage at the Bellagio once, and they all had cool hats. I hope you have good luck.

I say. That looks really good. Sometimes if the overhaul is too good, it kinda takes away some of the character that took years to creep into the felt. The way you got it bashed after the naptha bath, though, looks like you preserved the character and lost the dirt. Primo.

Well, er, let's see here . . . (shuffle shuffle, dig dig) . . . ah! A qua-tah! Jeeves, throw this to the fellah over thay-yah.
lol
Would you believe it's mojave? There was some debate as to whether the black ribbon would go with that color, but as it turns out, I think it works muy...
Howdy H. Re the pinch, I hadn't planned on pinching it because with the wide ribbon and the extended crown height, there's a lot going on up there. But now that you mention it, I won't be able to resist trying a couple of pinches to see how it looks. But in the main, no pinches.
Re the...
Hi, Feraud. The brim is 2 3/8, the crown is 5 3/4 & the ribbon looks to be about 2 5/8. I, too, continue to dig the proportions, even if I have to duck more often (lol). At least I can pretend I'm taller. (lol lol)

Merry Christmas to me . . . in the 20s. This is a present from my lovely wife and is an Art creation. Some of the dimensions are a touch more plentiful than those I've seen typically displayed on the Forum, but it's exactly to order. Mr. Fawcett is not only an artist, but is an absolute...
I like that style too. The brim is almost flat--next to no curl at the sides or in back. I'm not familiar with the movie. (Looks like stills from a movie, anyway.) Any idea as to the time period it's supposed to depict? Maybe mid to late 30s?

Ditto the positive comments above. And I would add that that model hat doesn't come up too often on ebay (or elsewhere that I can find). And it looks to be in great condition, so I'd say that's quite a score for any collection, particularly as your first. Snap that brim, cock it a bit to one...
I have a strat that looks like Mark G's--same Royal Stetson, same liner logo, same plastic cover--except the hat is a light grey. On the side imprinted in gold it says "The Outlet Company, Providence, RI," and then there's a white, paper price tag that says "Outlet" at the top, and the stamped...
