I just posted a couple of magazines and letters (in one envelope) to America and that was almost £7!
Maybe look on the Royal Mail website - I think there are price banding guides on there.
I loved series 1 but series 2 wasn't as good in my opinion. I recorded most of the episodes on sky plus and zoomed through them.

I think I want this book! It is in Tesco...
Fascinating stuff!
I like the appeal of the old fashioned manners - just courtesy and community!
Plus I love the 50s clothes, makeup, films and music. It just seemed like people made an effort then, both with their appearance and with other people.
Also it seems like it was a smaller world...
Wow - your skin looks perfect!
Tempted by the lipglass - how is it troublesome to apply?
I love MAC eye shadows and have a couple of glosses but I don't wear them often. My basic make up is foundation, concealer, powder and blush to make me look alive.
I need to wear more make up - I used to have such fun with it!
It is depressing when my foundation and concealer disappear in no time at all! Not good as then I am back to my pale but blotchy uneven skin which normally has a couple of spots to hide.
I don't know what I do wrong as even...
I send and receive maybe 3 or 4 letters a week. I love getting handwritten letters! It makes me realise how spoilt I am but using the computer and spell check though. My letters are to my pen pals and they don't all have electricity so it would be cheeky of me to type mine as they have to hand...
I was wondering what it was about the older eras (40s, 50s, etc) that interests people. It is fascinating that it is such a long standing interest, not just a fleeting fad or something that follows modern trends as when retro was "in" style.
Is it the fashion and beauty?
Or is it the...
I have written my list already! My mum likes to be organised so has been asking for a list since September.
Mostly books (again) and a few bits from http://www.museumselection.co.uk and the Jane Austen website.
I love perfumes and have far too many of them!
Currently I love Stella by Stella McCartney, Diorissimo by Dior, Chanel n.19 by Chanel, Violetta by Penhaligons and Petite Cherie and Quel Amour! by Annick Goutal.
Guilty secret - I love Pink Sugar by Aquolina.
I tried Coco recently but...
I need to try harder - my hair basically gets brushed and that is it. I really liked the hair band curling method and need to make time to do it most nights.
I love baking and am learning to garden too. I can cross stitch and have just started learning to knit. Planning on learning embroidery, crochet and cooking too. Oh and sewing and dressmaking.
I have pen pals too and love writing cards and letters by hand and getting post!
Bought the Art and Craft of Hairdressing - HUGE book and perhaps it will turn out to be a bit technical for me!
It is the 4th edition I think from 1958.
It covers gentleman's hairdressing, ladies' hairdressing, waving the hair, hair styling, art applied to hairdressing, hair...
Love that!
I have some 1950s magazines and, while I love the photographs in them, I never thought of making the attempt to copy them. I need to start curling my hair again - back to the hair band method I think!
