Posting to the US

Hi guys not sure if this is the right place for this? has anybody in the UK had experience of sending goods (a suit) to the US any pitfalls to look out for and or ball park figure to Tenessee?

I just posted a couple of magazines and letters (in one envelope) to America and that was almost £7!

Maybe look on the Royal Mail website - I think there are price banding guides on there.

Many times.

Size is the biggest cost factor along with weight, so if you can get it in a smaller size, the better.
You can pay extra for tracking (not much more). Also mark it as a gift and put the value below $25 and it will sail through the other end without additional charges. Don't bother with insurance - I've lost things with tracking before and there is no way you're getting any money back form royal mail if they lose it.
