I would add a bit to the front drop (1 - 2"), shorten the back by 0.25-0.5", as the jacket seems to ride up when closed and add 2" to the torso, as it seems to be very snug. Sleeves are down to preferences.
You got the best advise already. The issue peacoats are cheaper and more fitted than everything you could buy knew. The quality is there too especially when you look for a kersey wool pea
Looks splendid to me! It might feel to loose on the bottom end, but looks the part .
I am a little envious, because at 6.3 ft it is almost impossible to find a vintage jacket, or so it seems to me .
I do agree to everything observe said. If anything is to be improved it would be the width of the jacket . But the hwmn is a boxy cut to begin with. Maybe you would be better off with a slimmer cut jacket .
But never mind, just enjoy wearing it !
It works quite well. It's the air that keeps you insulated from adverse weather .
It's quite common for us road and mountain bike racers. But then I am going full lycra anyways. I never used such garments for every day wear, but it would work for sure.
Yes I did, thanks. That jacket is also featured on Greg's insta. Different light, different camera, different hue . I much prefer the tan colour showing in Greg's pictures.
Getting a sample is mandatory of course , but I agree with TartuWolf that it is difficult to get a a reliable impression...
Thanks! I found those of course and this jacket does put me off a little bit.
Hard to tell if the leather is as orange in real life as it appears to me on my mobile, but if so I don't like it.
That's the reason for me putting up this thread.
