A couple years back, Dobbs did make a wool fedora with fold out earmuffs. It was actually executed very well and had it not been wool, I might have bought it for all those terribly cold Chicago winter days.
I have still yet to ever see another one of these labels.......
Its from a Stetson Select Quality Bowler. I believe it to be from the late teens-20's. Its hard to pinpoint though because Stetson used the Select Quality designation into the late 20's/early 30's
1920's Dunlap Chocolate Brown Boater
I just received this one. I have never owned a brown boater before and this one is just fantastic. The sweatband is fabric and what is most interesting is that it is sewn completely to the liner so the liner and sweatband are one piece.

GORGEOUS!!!! I had no idea that the hat was a mint green. It looked like an off white from the auction photos. That's one of the most beautiful hats I have seen. I'm glad you got that one, my bidding finger wasn't fast enough. :D

GREAT comparison, Garrett!! That un-named heather is really special. I need to find myself a 50's Heather Railbird so I can re-block it into something 30's style. Both are beautiful hats. I have always had a special place in my heart for Heather felts.
Awesome!!! Just awesome!! I have been waiting to see more detailed pics of that one. That is the earliest Stetson I have seen and its the ORIGINAL Exposition Medal. I love the extremely detailed Stetson medal crest on the liner. The flange is also very cool. I'm glad you got that one Garrett...
DAMN! Totally just lost this gorgeous 30's University Club…
