When I wear my OR (cattleman crease), snap brim, here in middle GA, the men compliment the old law, Truman, or LBJ image. My modern Strat gets more attention from the ladies. It doesn't feel like the quality of my old San Antonio (long ago lost), but I really enjoy wearing it.
I grew up with cowboy hats, both Resistol and Stetson. I'm not real fond of stingy brims, and was concerned with a 2 1/4" brim. I have never handled an Ashland, but I am VERY impressed with this lid!
