Ahh... Thanks, Dinerman. I didn't see that in the first set of photos but this last one was a perfect illustration. Nifty crease! Have to try it some time.

Beautiful hat, Marty. Love the ribbon!

Err... was that supposed to be a problem? :eusa_doh: :D
Actually, I have no idea! The ribbon I used is only ¬?-inch wide and was rolled on a small drum in the store. I guess it kinda wanted to stay flat out of habit. :)
Cheers!

How could I miss this thread? :eusa_doh:
So many nice aircraft have been shown here - You have great taste! :eusa_clap
Can I add a few of my personal favourites:
The Boeing P-26 Peashooter
The Arado Ar-96 (shown as Swedish civilian)
The SAAB 21

Thank you, Bruno. Yes, I saw that you had given your hat "the treatment" to. Looking forward to seeing the result.
Thanks, Dean. Yes, it was fun... and easy! I thought it would fight me more. :)

Well, I see the problem. [huh]

I was hoping this jacket would arrive today but I guess the postal "service" is on slow burner during the summer. It does look more military then the leather variant, yes. And that's OK by me. It will be fun to try it out to see what I can match it with. Wish I had a 50's motorbike though.

I got the idea that I wanted my new PB Cuenca to look a little bit different the other Panamas... so I bought some silver-gray ribbon and got to work...

Ahh... Back online:
Man, this hat is soooo different from my Pachacuti Brisa. It feels much more "distinct". The Pachacuti is like a wet rag on top of my head in comparison.
Brim is 65-70mm (haven't learned fractions of inches yet)
Crown is 120mm.
REALLY LOVING IT! :D

Problem is I can't get to my Photobucket account at the moment... as soon as it works there'll be photos again. :)
