I just got my WPG Irvin.
What can I say. First reaction - Bit of a bargain. I'm usually a 46 and on WPG advice I got a 48 as I wanted the option of wearing a heavy sweater underneath, fits perfect including the sleeves which I was a little nervous about.

I agree, the poodle look is best avoided. Ideally I would get one that fits from the start. Past experience tells me that the sleeves are likely to be a little long for me. I guess I can always have them shortened.

Cost is also a consideration, and I'm not sure I could get to Thruxton until after Easter. I don't know enough about Irvin fit and measurements to feel confortable having one made over the internet.
I'm very tempted by the WPG Irvin but I'm afraid the sleeves in my size will be too long. Can anyone confirm the leather is soft and light enough to roll up the cuff or is there another cheap and cheerful option?
I think it's a fit. The only question mark would be the sleeve lenght which looks long. However, it's a bike jacket so it would be almost right in a riding position. Ultimately you are the one that has to wear it and there's little as useless as a leather jacket where one is unhappy with the fit.
Well, just look at how much fun Indiana Jones had with a leather jacket and a Fedora. I seem to recall Bogey wearing one with a G1 in Tokyo Joe as well.
