Its actually a tan cloth top, with a red interior. Just like here.

I will post more pics, but I am preparing to enter the car in the Quail Lodge event in Carmel, this weekend, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the...
Thanks.
Now that I have a few A2s, I have decided to get a Bogen & Tenenbaum AN 6552 Navy Jacket. I spent 27 years in the US Navy.

This is a post 71 V12 model. The only 2 versions of V12s was the roadster, and this one, the 2+2. No 2 seater coupes after 1971.
Who ever owned this car, put the front lips, the Aamco bars, on upside down. Here is how they should look on this car.
Here is a pre '67 Coupe two seater, much...
I edited my posts. Got carried away, sorry there 767fo. I guess I am very envious. Your collection is superb.
I am joking about "nailed". I tend to see it used often with JC's jackets, and if anyone "nails" it, it is truly John Chapman. I am a fan of both Aeros and Goodwear jackets. I...
Which of these do you like the best, the A2s or the Highwayman?

A common word which is used when a jacket fits, is "nailing it". John Chapmans work comes up often when talking about "nailing"
Sorry if I seemed obtuse to anyone.
The 2+2 was the ugliest of the 6 cylindar E-types. It was designed for the US market, and not only did they stretch it back, making it longer, they raised the roof. It acquired the name "pregnant guppy". It also had an automatic transmission. From the bonnet forward they were the same as...
Don't know why you wouldn't want to go with Ray Bay again. There are plenty of sellers of RayBan Aviators on Ebay for not much. e.g. right now I see a buy it now sale on the 3025 Classic Gold Green Ray Ban Aviators 55mm for less then $50.
Mine refers to my first sports car and its year. A recently restored 1966 Jaguar E-Type with a complete nuts/bolts restoration, rotisserie painted. It has a new interior, rebuilt motor, brakes, suspension, and rear bolt on Independent Rear I owned it from 1974 until now. BTW it will be at the...
Your pictures could really utilize a tripod setup, get a cheepie full length tripod from Best Buy, use the self timer mechanism, and hit the button and walk around to the spot in front of the camera. Your pics will improve immensley. Shop around until you find the one for you...
I remember back in the 60s, insurance was simple. It was either Blue Cross or Blue Shield (It might have even been Blue Cross/Blue Shield). You would get a bill from the Doctor or hospital, and they would pay 80% of the bill, you paid 20%, no matter what it was (it might have been 90/10). But...
These 2 Aero jackets have underarm gussets, so its not like they don't know how to do it.

This reminds me, I have an original NFL football, before the AFL. It was called the "Duke". When Sunday football came on, they showed the Duke at the beginning of the intro.
This is a personal opinion, but the simpler design of the A2, is more attractive to my eyes. Plus horsehide like what the original A2 were made of, has a bit more character to it. Goatskin is somewhat featureless. Russet and seal horsehides, are better looking than "goat brown". A biswing...
